We, at Styled UP, are true artists, and collectively we have been exposed to the most luxurious facets of the industry, empowering us with the most discerning eyes.
We use this “eye” to create a high style interior for our clients, regardless of the investment range.
what makes us different
interior design and decorating
Our approach is simple… we meet with our clients in their space to gain a true understanding of how they live, what they love, everything from where do they like to drink their coffee in the morning to how often their mother in law visits, is discussed to assess their needs in the space.
Then, punch list design items are discussed and then a design agreement that is tailored to the clients specific needs is presented. A design bank of hourly time is collected before the project commences.
Every client is different: some clients want full scope turn key design, and others just need a little help selecting paint colors. No matter how, we are happy to help.
hey, I'm elle!
Principal interior designer + owner of styled up
My mother was an interior designer and I studied interior design at East Carolina University. My 20 years of experience in the industry ranges from serving everyday families with a la carte interior design items to turn key luxury residential projects. Let’s just say that I understand champagne taste, just as well as I understand a beer budget. I believe everyone deserves to live in a beautiful, stylish, comfortable home!
As an entrepreneur, mother and wife, I completely understand how hard it is for families to prioritize their interior needs. I pride myself in being flexible and accommodating because I find it truly rewarding to serve up my artistic talents to their delight.
I love people and I love the arts!
Design is in my blood.
I could never think of a profession that sounded more appealing, so I decided to put “my eye” with my education and see where it would lead me.
Turns out, it led me to work on cruise ships after college, traveling the world as a “port shopping expert” who helped the guest source fabulous finds in the ports of call. It was a blast, but when one of the ships I was on docked in Fort Lauderdale, I knew I was home, and I was ready for land life!
I settled here and became the design director for a national furniture retailer. From there I moved on up to freelance designing with personal clients and then had the pleasure of managing multi line showrooms at The Design Center of The Americas, DCOTA.
My mother always said, “You have the eye.”
This was incredible for my career, as I worked closely with the top interior designers in Florida on their amazing high-end projects for 12 years. When my daughter Kai was born, I returned to entrepreneurialism, and starting building two businesses, Styled Up, and Rodan+ Fields premium skincare.
I also founded a group for other women in the area to soundboard off each other and network, called Fort Lauderdale Female Entrepreneurs. I just love life and I wake up excited to go to work every day. For that, I feel VERY blessed. Throughout my career, I have learned that most families, would never entertain the idea of an interior designer, as they assume that it is out of their budget or are intimidated by the idea. If that is you, then come to Mamma! My passion and mission is to help you. No project is to large or to small for Styled UP.
